- 3. If you pop lines for your screws, make sure to use red chalk, and NOT BLUE CHALK. Blue chalk is very difficult to get off and can stay on for months, while red chalk will usually wash off with the next rain.
- 4. If you need to cut panels lengthwise, you can score them with a box cutter several times, and then bend it back and forth until it breaks off, producing a clean edge. You can also use tin snips or drill attachments.

Steps for putting on an Aluminum Roof Paint or coatings:
1. Buy aluminum roof paint and oil-based metal primer from the local hardware store or home center. The paint must be oil-based and specific to aluminum roofs.
